Scholarship Winner 2015
Graduated from School of Politics and International Relations, Quaid-e-Azam University What I am today and how am I today is all because of ZSSP, I say this without an inch of exaggeration. I could only dream of pursuing my studies at one of the best graduate schools of the country if I had not been awarded with this opportunity. I did not realize the importance of this scholarship when I won it. However, gradually stepping into real academics and financial constraints back at home, I came to realize and accept the fact that ZSSP is one of the most important reasons that I could pursue my graduation. I recently defended my graduation thesis with an A grade and managed to work with one of the significant think tanks of the country during my degree. I also worked at National Assembly of Pakistan and Ministry of Human rights, Government of Pakistan. I owe this opportunity to ZSSP since that’s the grant which help me to study in Capital of the country and explore the right opportunities aligned with my interest. Currently, I am self-employed and proud to share that i am among few of the competitive writers at the Writers guild. I love to write political content deconstructing political globalization, reverse globalization and to capitalize my writing skills. I am Freelancer writer technically and planning to launch my own digital media platform at which I am working as multimedia journalist and produce important story line ups about historical events from theoretical grounds. Growth is what I always looked up to because learning and growth is a continuous lineage which is why one of my objectives in life is to create opportunities for my fellow girls to earn from the skills they have. I have successfully trained more than 10 girls about content writing and how to sponsor yourself from skills you have, irrespective of my hectic schedule.
I do not have goals in one dimension though, I am not good at multitasking, but I am working to get a Master’s degree abroad for which I am preparing and working really hard so I could return to my alma matter as a significant personality who can actually make a difference practically. I have started giving back to the community in my own way which is letting people realize that financial constraints are not something holding them back but their fear that they cannot sponsor themselves without an actual job. Whenever I guide someone about freelancing and working along with studies, I only ask them of one thing and that is not to keep this solution to yourself but letting their fellows know this too and let this linage of growth to grow.
